What, Where, and When

“LIVE THE DREAM” WITH ELVIO FERNANDES AND CAMP ROC STAR

– Accomplished local singer-songwriter creates Rock and Roll day-camp experience for young, aspiring musicians –

WHAT:    Camp ROC Star, founded by Uncle Plum singer/guitarist/keyboardist Elvio Fernandes, is a week-long day-camp that provides aspiring rock musicians, ages 10-17, with an unforgettable learning and performance experience that will improve their playing skills, increase their confidence, foster collaboration with others and inspire them to find the artist within themselves.  Over the five days, these ROC stars will be mentored by some of Upstate New York’s most talented and experienced musicians/instructors.  Each camper will be placed in a Camp ROC Band, rehearse an original composition or cover song, participate in group seminars held by professionals in the music industry, and receive instruction on individual instruments.  On Friday evening, the bands will put on a stage performance in front of friends and family with full production, sound system, and light show.  Singers, guitarists, keyboardists, bassists and drummers, age 10-17, with at least one year experience welcome.

COST:         $499.00 per camper
